DMV CLEARANCE 

Paying the tax bill online does not clear you immediately at DMV. For those seeking an immediate clearance due to delinquent taxes your payment must be with a credit or debit card. EFT-ACH transactions take 48-72 hours to clear. You will need to contact the tax office during the tax office hours for assistance with the DMV clearance process at 860-228-0230. 

Regular office hours for the TAX OFFICE: Monday through Wednesday 8:00-2:00, Thursday 10:00-6:00 and closed on Friday. The Tax Office has extended hours in January and Feb. 1, 2024: Monday through Wednesday 8:00-4:00, Thursday 10:00-6:00 and Friday 8:00-12:00.

Look up 2023 tax payments by following these steps:

• Click on the square to view/pay tax bills.
• Type in last name, space, first initial as the tax bill reads.
• Click on the circle next to IRS payment records for year 2023.
• Click on search, this brings you to bills under your name.
• Located in the far right in the blue center bar click on the square next to IRS.
• Select your bills, there may be others listed that are not yours (remove checks).
• A view IRS button appears in the center blue bar, click on the view IRS button.

This will bring you to a list the of the tax bills and the payment information. Please verify all your bills are listed. You may need to search under each taxpayer’s name if all of your bills are not listed.
